Who Is Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais? A Brief Introduction
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the famous Qari & Imam e Kaaba, was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 1960. He memorised the Quran by the age of 12 and began his Islamic education early. He completed his degree in Islamic Sharia from Riyadh University in 1983. He later earned a master’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and a doctorate from Umm al-Qura University.
In 1984, Sheikh Sudais joined the team of Imams at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah at the age of 24. His powerful voice and heartfelt recitation quickly gained global recognition, and people also know him as Abdul Sudais. In 2012, he was appointed as the head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques. Since then, he has led the Kaaba’s Imam team and overseen the affairs of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi.
